PC Plod even keeps our rubbish safe.

A Yellow Skip (stock photo)
By hell, you've gotta be proud of these coppers.

A couple of cads were caught stealing stuff from a skip, and HM Constabulary were hot on their heels, to chase 'em down and restore the property to its rightful owners.

Oddly, no charges were pressed because the owners said they didn't want their property back, thank you very much.

Perhaps that's why they put it in a skip in the first place?

Update...

Update:

Deputy Speaker Nigel Evans arrested on suspicion of rape

Nigel Evans, the Conservative MP, has been arrested on suspicion of raping and sexually assaulting two young men.

Well there ya go.

Apparently the bozzers read my blog.

 full article (Telegraph)

I'm not convinced though. I don't support the man (because he's a Tory) but politics is a dirty business full of lairs and cheats, and it wouldn't surprise me to discover he's being framed by a couple of plebs from the press.

Another celeb disgraced...

So, Stuart Hall, who was vehement in defending his honourable name, has admitted being guilty of sex offences against minors.

Names in the public domain, so far:

Jimmy Savile...DJ
Gary Glitter...singer
Dave Lee Travis...DJ
Freddie Starr...comedian
Jim Davidson...comedian
Max Clifford...publicist
Rolf Harris...artist
Bill Roache...actor
Stuart Hall...TV presenter

Question is...who’s next?

As far as I know, only Hall has pleaded guilty in court. I enver liked the man, and I don't condone his behaviour, but I can't fault him for at least having one shred of honesty and owning up, and saving a host of women going through an embarrassing hell in court. They've suffered enough at his hands.

Glitter has already served time for sexual offences, and the allegations now being made against him are new, unproven offences. All the others claim they’re innocent, and—let’s be fair—including Glitter, they are innocent, until found guilty in a Court of Law.

That's the way it is, yet people forget this. The assumption is that because someone has been arrested for questioning, they must be guilty.

Nope. That doesn't follow. For all we know, any one of those celebs could be informing on others, and naming more offenders, the way those who knew Savile was offending should have stepped forwards and named him sooner.

But...who’s next to be dragged in?

Probably another name from the entertainment industry.

Has anyone noticed they’re all from the entertainment industry? An industry we know is rife with ‘overactive passions’. They're an easy target, see.

Personally, I'd like to see some politicians outed and brought to overdue justice.

On June 15th 1215, King John signed the Magna Carta, declaring nobody was above the law, including himself. He didn't get much of a choice about signing it, but by god...sign it, he did.

No one is above the law.

Of course, I hear you say, politicians wouldn’t be involved in that sort of thing would they? People in politics are respectable, sensible people, yes?

No.

The court jesters who entertain us and make us laugh shouldn't be allowed to get away with crimes any more than anyone else. But those who rule our country, who seek positions of power over all of us, should be clean of criminal, deviant vices.

It’s time to take the kid-gloves off.

If it shakes some foundations, so be it. Not for revenge, but for Justice.
